Dr. Michael Motel believes that health is our greatest priority.  His goal as a chiropractor is to educate and empower people with the knowledge and understanding about how the human body functions so that they can make the best decisions about their health and well-being.

Dr. Mike graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology. He then continued on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  He has had the opportunity to work with several different chiropractors throughout his education and career. Since graduation, he has worked in Boise, Idaho and Albany, Oregon. His education, with the additional knowledge from these different experiences, has shown him the importance of SPECIFIC Chiropractic analysis and adjusting.

Dr. Mike and his wife Alicia own Boot Berry Farms in Kendall with their two dogs, Benedict and Herman. They love all things farm related but growing their own food is their passion. They also love all the outdoor activities that Whatcom County and the surrounding areas provide; especially skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. You can find them working out at Vital Climbing Gym and Terrain Gym!

Dr. Matthew Heinekin

Dr. Matthew Heinekin believes that motion and the ability to move is of utmost priority. His goal as a chiropractor is to educate the community on how to properly take care of one's spine and demonstrate the benefits of a specific Gonstead adjustment. Additionally, he wishes to empower his patients, so that they may live better and healthier lifestyles and pursue all of their hopes, dreams and hobbies.

Dr. Matt graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He worked as a Physical Therapist Aide for six years, prior to his chiropractic education. From that time he has developed exceptional skills in biomechanics and rehabilitation, and therefore wanted to expand his knowledge and pursue Chiropractic. He then continued at Southern California University of Health Sciences, to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. He valued specific analysis and adjustments and therefore found himself pursuing the Gonstead Method.

Dr. Matt and his wife Hanna have an amazing sense of adventure and trying new things. Whether that be food related, as they are avid foodies, or hiking and exploring the wonderful pacific northwest. You may find them at local coffee shops, restaurants, on the ski slopes and even on a mountainous trail hiking and camping.
